Top 5 Must Read Books: Books that You should Read At Least Once in Your Life!

This 5 books have the ability to transform your life, and I can guarantee you can learn so much from them. So without further ado lets get right to them!

  • 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE
In his doctoral thesis, the author, Stephen. R. Covey, found a contrast in the self-help literature existing through generations. While the books from 1920s onwards focused on personality traits, the older books stressed on character development. The author believes that a balance must exist between the two, but he also maintains that character development is more fundamental in nature. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People thus focuses on the values which comprise of character ethics on which the personality ethics has to be built. These values include integrity, courage, a sense of justice and honesty. This book discusses the seven main habits which one must adopt to live a more fulfilling life. The author also takes the readers through three stages of character development.

The stages of character development range from the time when a person is born and is dependent on others for survival to the time he grows and later learns to live with others. The first three habits denote the progress level from dependence to independence. The next three habits are all about interdependence and the final seventh habit deals with renewal.

  • THE POWER OF HABIT: WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO IN LIFE AND BUSINESS
In "The Power of Habit, "Pulitzer Prize-winning business reporter""Charles Duhigg takes us to the thrilling edge of scientific discoveries that explain why habits exist and how they can be changed. Distilling vast amounts of information into engrossing narratives that take us from the boardrooms of Procter & Gamble to sidelines of the NFL to the front lines of the civil rights movement, Duhigg presents a whole new understanding of human nature and its potential. At its core, "The Power of Habit" contains an exhilarating argument: The key to exercising regularly, losing weight, being more productive, and achieving success is understanding how habits work. As Duhigg shows, by harnessing this new science, we can transform our businesses, our communities, and our lives.

  • HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE

Dale Carnegie, known as 'the arch-priest of the art of making friends', pioneered the development of personal business skills, self-confidence and motivational techniques. His books - most notably How to Win Friends and Influence People - have sold tens of millions worldwide and, even in today's changing climate, they remain as popular as ever.

  • THE SECRET

There is a paradigm in the universe that is the kernel for the success of people in their lives. This paradigm is hidden and has been known only to very few historically exceptional people. The elements of the paradigm are visible only in bits and pieces to the majority of the human beings. What if the unkempt paradigm is clearly compacted and present to the world? What if the 'secret' is revealed? Rhonda Byrne, the author of the book, the Secret, presents such an ultimate secret which will unveil the formula for a successful life. The Secret is a self-help book which relies on the dogma that the universe is governed by a law called the law of attraction. According to the law of attraction, one attracts what one focuses on primarily. If a person spends his/her life focusing on positive thoughts, then the person will supposedly attract positive energy and positive results; the same is the case with attracting negative energy. This belief is based on the idea that both people and their ideas are made up of energy and thus one can influence the other upon will and exercise one's wishes and obtain happiness in life. The book intends to render its readers a way to attain their ambitions in life and be successful.

  • THINK AND GROW RICH

Think and Grow Rich is the best motivational literature that I ve come across. I was involved in a certain marketing stint during my engineering, and this book was suggested to me by a friend, who is today one of the finest motivational speakers. The book presents the essential commodities for success, in the simplest terms possible. The book is build with research conducted by Napoleon Hill for over 25 years, interviewing successful people like Andrew Carnegie, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell to name a few.
This is a very good inspirational book. This edition contains commentary adding more examples of today. It will definitely change the way you think. I firmly believe that the methods described in the book can make anybody who follows them extremely successful. A must read for anybody who wants to be successful. I have just finished reading it, and I am going to go over it again.

THIS ARE THE BOOKS WHICH I PERSONALLY THINK ARE WORTH READ FOR EVERYBODY. DO YOU THINK ANY OTHER BOOK MUST ALSO BE INCLUDED IN THE LIST. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO WRITE YOUR FAVOURITE AND MUST READ LIST IN THE COMMENT SECTION BELOW!

I'LL CATCH YOU IN THE NEXT ONE! PEACE!

  1. Thank you for this post, I just bought "The power of habit" from a book store. It's great in content actually but not so well in writing, I find a lot of awkward words.. but at the end I am sure I will learn a lot of things from this book!

  2. Great picks! I have Think and Grow Rich as an audiobook. After listening to it with full attention a few times I've gotten into letting it black in the background so it can sink in.

  4. I think some fiction would be a good idea for the piece as well. Perhaps Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte? It's a story of someone who overcomes great hardship then overdoses their disadvantages, lives on their own terms and finds love, happiness and inner peace.
